Seth Anderson, CEO
Seth is responsible for providing leadership, developing strategic plans to advance the company, and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth. He is responsible for Weifield’s project management, financial management, preconstruction, and purchasing departments. Seth has extensive experience in design-build, design-assist, and plan and spec for high technology buildings, U.S. government, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, education, high rise and low rise buildings, and mixed use projects. He has a degree in construction management from Moorhead State University in Minnesota.
Seth implemented an incentive program for Weifield employees to get their LEED accreditation. His most notable and largest projects are; the Denver Convention Center expansion, Intel Fab 23 building, Zephyr Mountain Lodge in Winter Park, and NREL Research Support Facility I/II. Seth is on the RMAE Board of Directors and is a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
Karla Nugent, Chief Business Development Officer
Karla is responsible for Weifield’s business development, IT, marketing, sales, and human resource departments. She has a degree in Psychology from Colorado State University. She has leadership experience in distribution, data center construction, business expansion, operation automation, and ISO certification. Karla leads Weifield’s efforts to be on the forefront of energy efficiency and management. Her efforts led Weifield in becoming the first electrical contractor in this region to complete a net-zero energy project.
Karla is a recent past president of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC), has presented to the Colorado General Assembly advocating for improved training for the next generation, is one of the founding members of Skillbuild Colorado, and serves on the executive board for the Constructors and Designers Alliance (CDA).
Pete Farreny, Chief Operating Officer
Pete oversees a variety of private and public projects. He handles high-profile, large, and difficult projects as the onsite superintendant. Pete holds a master electrician license in Colorado and New Mexico. He has over 25 years of experience in construction and management. Pete is OSHA 30-hour trained, and has attended numerous training courses for management and quality control, including Purdue’s electrical project management institute and DOE safety certification.
Pete’s most notable projects are the Exxon refinery, Main Terminal Valdez, Legacy Plaza, and the NREL Research and Support Facility I/II. He has an impeccable safety record with no lost time accidents, and provides training programs to keep employees aware of new codes, technology, processes, and procedures.
James Selecky, Western Division Officer
James supervises project superintendants performing field implementation on company projects. He holds a master electrician license in Colorado and Wyoming. He has a wealth of electrical knowledge with over 25 years of experience. He is OSHA 10-hour trained and has attended numerous training courses for management and quality control.
James’ experience includes primary and secondary schools, higher education, military projects, office buildings, and data centers. He reviews project plans and specifications for constructability, operability, maintainability and cost effectiveness. James’ most notable projects include the DIA baggage system, Antarctica base expansion, Buckley Air Force Base WING Headquarters, and Joint Forces Readiness Training Center at Warren Air Force Base.
Mike Osborne, Senior Construction Manager
With over 35 years of experience, Mike has extensive skills in managing a variety of projects, including wastewater treatment facilities, design-build/assist, and LEED certified projects. He is a Licensed Master Electrician, Modicon Level I/II trained, 15KV splice and termination certified, OHSA 40-Hour certified, and has supervised over 500,000 man hours with no lost time and no OSHA recordable accidents. Mike leads the on-site management of projects by supervising personnel, project budget, project scheduling, safety procedures, quality control, and project efficiency.
Jim Dent, Preconstruction Manager
Jim is responsible for all aspects of design, estimating, scheduling, negotiating, and coordination for the entire preconstruction phase for projects of $1M to $21M+. He has a skill set beyond technical proficiency, which includes capabilities of managing large, complex projects. He is currently certified in Asbestos Abatement and holds a master electrician license. He has a proven track record in preconstruction management, design-build delivery, estimating, budget and cost control.
Jim is an expert on National Electrical Code having taught NEC as part of the 2nd year curriculum at the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) Apprenticeship Program. Jim was an instructor at IEC for 10 consecutive years and also served as Chairperson of the Apprentice and Training Committee for 10 years. Currently Jim serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE), is an active member in United Stated Green Building Council (USGBC), and is the current secretary for the Design Build Institute of America’s (DBIA) Board of Directors.
Mike Bullock, Corporate Safety and Training Manager
Michael is responsible for establishing Weifield Group as a world-class leader in safety performance by managing Weifield’s “Target-Zero” Safety Program. Mike has experience with previously working as an Occupational Safety Program Manager at NASA and an Integrated HSE&Q Program Manager at CH2M Hill. He is Six Sigma qualified, Mishap Investigation trained, Certified Root Cause Investigation analyst, Lessons Learned trained, Certified Workers’ Compensation trained, Certified Performance Measurement trained, and Advanced Leadership Course (US Army) experienced. Mike routinely trains employees for OSHA and First Aid/CPR, as both are required certifications for all Weifield employees.
Dave Harper, Specialty Projects and Service Business Development Manager
Dave’s role within our team ensures the expansion and growth of Weifield’s Specialty Projects and Service Department and new specialty projects via public relations, marketing, business strategy, and strategic alliances. Dave is regarded as a well respected, competent, and sophisticated team member that successfully promotes the Weifield Group with his industry knowledge by building relationships and continually integrating new procedures and opportunities to support Weifield’s revenue goals. He works hard to provide Weifield’s clients with qualified budgets and estimates from our Specialty Projects Group staying with projects through to completion to ensure client satisfaction. Dave is a graduate of San Diego State University. Dave worked with CLP Resources, a national construction staffing company, as a Regional Director opening new offices across the country and growing them to profitability. Over the last several years Dave was the Director of Marketing with Duro Electric and in 2007 joined the ownership team of Crossroads Electric where he was able to pursue and develop business opportunities with new and existing clients.
Chris Johnson, Virtual Building Systems Manager
As a virtual building systems manager, Chris plays a vital role in coordinating medium to large scale projects from design to 100% 3-D coordination. Chris’s primary responsibility is converting the contract drawings to a detailed set of installation drawings that have been 3-D coordinated with other trades to eliminate field installation conflicts. Utilizing the latest software available, Chris creates working shop drawings directly from the 100% coordinated models and these drawings are used for complete installation of electrical systems for the project. Chris works directly with our preplanning/prefabrication department to identify opportunities to prefabricate as many systems as possible prior to installation to enhance the overall output for the project.
