Quality Control

Weifield Group Contracting infuses quality control into every facet of the project. We thoroughly understand the client’s appreciation of the excellent installation will persist long after the project is complete. We insist on excellence throughout the process beginning with preconstruction. Our preconstruction team strives to provide excellent service for all projects in any method of delivery. From design-build to hard bid we will provide our clients with complete electrical preconstruction services.
Our project managers pick up where Preconstruction left off. The project manager will examine the construction documents and perform their own take off, double checking the efforts of the preconstruction team. The project managers perform the buyout and schedule the timely delivery of all materials. Any long lead items are identified and scheduled to be delivered to the jobsite on time. Any problems are identified early and solved through the RFI process. The submittal process is expedited with utmost attention to detail. A project to-do list is created for every project, which we label as the master list. This list assigns responsibilities to the construction manager, project manager and superintendent for materials, submittals, RFI’s, change requests, and miscellaneous open items with date listed, date due, and completion dates. The master list guarantees a top quality and timely project.
Our field superintendents receive quality control training through a rigorous quality control management plan implemented by Weifield ownership. The owners of Weifield Group Contracting recognize the need for a highly trained, highly motivated person directing the efforts of our field staff. Weifield Group Contracting provides our superintendents with the tools necessary to provide an excellent installation and checks it through a complete inspection and testing to insure no delays in turnover of systems. Listed below are the forms we use to ensure our product is of high quality.
Preconstruction, project management and production; we emphasize quality control throughout the construction process. Weifield Group Contracting goes one step above all of our competition. Seth Anderson, CEO/president and Karla Nugent, executive vice president, manage all aspects of Preconstruction and Project Management. James Selecky and Pete Farreny, construction managers, are master electricians and direct the efforts of and inspect all aspects of our production crews. The four owners of Weifield demand excellence on all aspects of the business. By their direct involvement with every step of the process, Weifield ownership creates an atmosphere where excellence is the standard. This ensures that everyone is performing the quality control program in lieu of simply filling out the forms. We make sure the program is not only in place, but being implemented as well.
On our projects we determine it is necessary to put a full time quality control person on staff. The project activities will take the time of the project manager and superintendent, so this allows someone to document the quality control and check forms for completion. We take quality seriously since no one has time for any hiccups at the end of the project. We pride ourselves with having the least amount of punch list items due to our process. This is evident on projects such as NREL were there was an 83 page punch list and Weifield had three minor items.
