Why Weifield?
RTD selected Weifield Group for this project due to our past performance with this client and our and our ability to help them achieve their project goals.
Project Scope
For this project, Weifield Group is conducting a complete design-build for RTD. We are completing full site electrical work and the required distribution for the parking lot (a 674,386 sq. ft. area comprised of 1,027 parking spaces and 20 ADA spaces), DRS building, and bus bay station. This project also includes photometric design for the parking lot and future Light Rail station, tailored to RTD standards. Weifield Group is also providing infrastructure for a complete light pole mounted security system.
Ensuring Clarity and a Successful Vision
Weifield Group’s involvement from the preconstruction and design phase through project resolution ensures consistency and will allow us to deliver the product we were selected to provide. To help realize the end vision for the project, while still maintaining RTD’s specifications, Weifield Group participated in preconstruction design meetings with the owner and other design consultants. These meetings resulted in the generation and submittal of a successful plan to the City of Lakewood. The team received permit drawings that were valuable in ensuring project specification, scope and design implementation. Weifield Group’s lead project manager participated in the design development, and will maintain the budget, procure materials and services, perform project commissioning, and oversee the warranty.
Safety:
Our safety manager will implement a project specific safety plan, which includes OSHA required documentation, dialy safety training, hazard communication, weekly safety meetings, and pre-task safety.
