PROJECT SCOPE:

The Leon A. Wurl Service Center is a one story Public Works and Parks maintenance facility located on an approximately 16.6 acre site.  The facility is designed to house maintenance personnel, equipment and materials for the two departments and includes an 9,560 sq. ft, Class B office building with two attached maintenance bays (16,728 sq. ft. building), an approximately 4-acre storage yard, and associated accessory structures.

Sustainable features on the maintenance building include a white TPO roof, ballasted roof-mounted photovoltaic solar system (95.2 kW) with a power purchase agreement and full heat recovery.

The center also includes a 250,000-sq-ft service yard with a 3,000-gal. fueling station, magnesium chloride/salt storage facility and truck wash pad.

This project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule.

SAFETY:

This project encompassed 5,307 manhours. Weifield successfully completed this project with no recordable accidents, and no lost time.
