Location:
Greely, Colorado
Project Duration:
Phase I: March 2011 – June 2011
Phase II: June 2011 - January 2012
Project Scope:
The Leprino Foods Company Wastewater Treatment Facility is a $30,000,000 project that will service the new mozzarella cheese plant currently being built adjacent to the treatment facility. The Wastewater Plant consists of multiple treatment processes including sequencing batch reactors, dissolved air flotation, UV treatment, and screen presses.
Weifield was hired to install the underground electrical conduit system for the new facility, and completed the work from March to June in 2011. Our superior performance led us to winning phase II of the project, June 2011 – January 2012, a $2,700,000 contract for electrical support and services for the facility.
Unique to this project, Weifield installed aluminum conduit versus the standard GRC conduit. For network communications, Weifield installed fiber optic cables, voice/data, and Intermediate Distribution Frames. Weifield provided wiring for snap switches, slector switches, disconnect switches and receptacles with integral GFCI. Interior and exterior lighting is occupancy sensor controlled. This project included installation of medium-voltage padmounted switchgear, switchboards, medium voltage transformers, and motor-control centers.
Safety:
This project encompassed 24,190 Weifield manhours and had no lost time or incidents
Testimonial:
“Without Weifield’s commitment, responsiveness, flexibility, and efficiency, the project would not have successfully met the scheduled start-up date.” –Christopher Lockett, Project Manager SYMBIONT
