Why Weifield?

Winning the project over four other prequalified electrical contractors, Weifield Group was chosen for this project because of our existing relationship with the general contractor, our significant experience with school projects, our fully developed project scope, and our commitment to meeting the accelerated project schedule.

Project Scope:

Casey Middle School is a 110,000 sq. ft. school located in Boulder, Colorado. Two of the original walls are being salvaged and the new school is being constructed around the two existing walls. A 26.78 kW bike rack photovoltaic array has been implemented to contribute onsite power generation required for this LEED Platinum facility. Weifield Group provided all electrical distribution equipment, electrical feeders, branch power and lighting, sound systems, intercom, access control, intrusion detection systems, raceways for teledata, and an auditorium dimming and sound system. This project was different than most having to work around the existing walls and supports for successful completion.

Pre-Planning, Dedication and Involvement Make the Difference

The project team created a detailed layout of our scope of work to generate a complete material procurement and manpower plan. In the midst of construction, security requirements were updated due to new district standards. We met with the appropriate district representatives to ensure the new standards were implemented while maintaining the budget for this portion of work. It is our intent to be the preferred contractor to the customer and the owner because of our involvement and commitment to their best interests.

Safety:

This project encompassed 22,179 man hours and had no recordable accidents or lost time.
