Why Weifield?
CSU chose Weifield Group over three other competitors. Our team developed a complete scope, and CSU was pleased with our proposed team and solid relationship with the general contractor.
Project Scope
The CSU Academic Instruction Building (AIB) facility is a 90,000 sq. ft., four-story academic building located on the CSU campus. CSU’s goal was to achieve LEED Gold status and Weifield Group helped achieve this through the use of low VOC materials, installation of energy efficient fixtures, lighting control systems, and metered distribution equipment.
Early Planning Helped Keep the Budget and Project On-Track
Weifield Group completed this $2M design-assist project with a full electrical build-out, fire alarm system and 15.75 kw photovoltaic system for the facility’s classroom and auditoriums. Weifield Group was awarded the project at the 50% design development stage. Our team collaborated with the CSU design team to complete the electrical system design within budget. Weifield utilized our prefabrication shop heavily on this project, ensuring maximized cost effectiveness.
