As Human Resources Director for Weifield Group Contracting Inc., a Denver- based commercial and industrial electrical contractor, Lauren Worth oversees the Human Resources, Training and Safety Departments serving 600 Weifield Group employees throughout Colorado, Wyoming and Texas. With background in the medical, oil and gas and television production industries, Lauren brings a diverse understanding of all business functions, allowing for a greater understanding and ability to support each employee’s individual development and needs.
Originally from New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, Lauren moved to Colorado and attended the Marquis Aveda Institute, receiving her Esthetics Certificate and license through the Colorado Department of Barber and Cosmetology. In 2002, Lauren became a Faculty Instructor for the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department. She established elective cosmetic treatment clinics for the University of Colorado, and in 2004, moved to the Dermatology Department to establish another clinical location and act as Director of Aesthetic Services. During her tenure with the University, Lauren wrote the procedural protocols for aesthetics for the School of Medicine and was a sitting member of the Colorado State Board for the Department of Barber and Cosmetology. During her time with the State Board, she assisted in writing the tests for esthetician licensure in the states of Colorado, Pennsylvania and Florida.
Lauren’s experience has included assisting Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement and Primary Care physicians in establishing aesthetic clinics as well as acting as a public speaker and subject matter expert for medical aesthetics. Lauren has also worked as a television producer and project manager for a Colorado-based production company, managing projects from $10,000 to $1.2M for clients such as Food Network, Discovery Channel, BBC America, DISH Network and Al Jazeera Sport.
Lauren holds professional certifications and extensive training in both human resources and medical aesthetics. Lauren has created a HR peer group that includes human resource professionals from competitive electrical contractors, allowing for best practices and mentorship of others within the electrical contracting industry.
