Kudos to our Rocky Mountain Special Project team’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Behind-the-Meter Storage crew for being named our July, 2025 Crew of the Month!
This $2M project with Sun Construction (GC) consists of a new premanufactured control building with associated concrete foundation, civil and electrical infrastructure, HVAC and controls on a 2.5-acre site in Arvada, CO.
The project is led by James S. Sr. (Foreman), Jordan M. (Project Manager), and Kevin K. (Estimator). Team members include: Jonathan B. (Apprentice), Joel D. (Journeyman), Daniel M. (Journeyman), Namaj P. (Apprentice), and Michael Y. (Apprentice).
Said Jordan: “NREL BTMS is a challenging project, with the magnitude of consistent changes. I am grateful to be working with James S., whose knowledge, capabilities, and expertise have been instrumental in our success. Thanks to James’s leadership and proficiencies, we have been able to build a strong relationship with the GC and ownership that has led to additional projects. James also has built a formidable team on-site that is consistently crushing their goals and pushing the project forward despite the hurdles we have encountered. I want to send a huge thank you to our team, Randy S., James S., Dan M., Joel D., Michael Y., Jonathan B., and Namaj P. — you all kill it every day, helping build this successful project.”
