On April 14, 2016, Weifield was honored to be recognized as the winner of the “Emerging Company Award” at ACG Denver’s 2016 Corporate Growth Awards event! Each year, the awards are given at ACG’s Rocky Mountain Corporate Growth Conference to two companies headquartered in Colorado for their excellence in growth strategies. This year’s winners are New Belgium Brewing in the Corporate Growth category and Weifield Group in the Emerging Growth category. The “Corporate Growth Award” celebrates companies with revenues in excess of $100 million; the “Emerging Company Award” category focuses on companies with revenues between $10 and $100 million.
ACG chose the winners from numerous candidates; criteria included sustained profitability over the past three years and other qualifying characteristics such as unique corporate strategies, surrounding market, growth, customers or products, social responsibility and community involvement.
As part of the ACG Corporate Growth Awards event, Weifield Chief Business Development Officer Karla Nugent and New Belgium Brewing Company CEO Christine Perich answered questions about their respective businesses in a “fireside chat,” moderated by Scott Bemis of EKS&H.
