On June 16th, Weifield volunteered and donated door prizes to BCER Engineering’s annual Fishing Derby at Quail Lake in Colorado Springs, Colorado in support of District 11! District 11 encompasses a large part of the city, including some of our most underserved youth.
The event was the 9th Annual Fishing Derby in Colorado Springs. This year, there were 50 first graders from District 11, Queen Palmer and Rogers Elementary Schools. The kids had a blast learning how to fish, catching fish and enjoying the outdoors. Few things better than watching these little ones catch fish! The kids were provided hotdogs, chips, other sides and dessert for lunch. Donated prizes were also offered to all the first graders.
This was Weifield’s 2nd year of volunteering and donating door prizes at the event. Volunteers from Weifield included Marshall T. (Weifield Rocky Mountain Senior Preconstruction Manager) and Colby F. (Weifield Rocky Mountain Director of Southern Colorado).
Weifield was honored to support this worthwhile fishing derby supporting District 11!
