From March 7 – 11, Weifield joins the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) organization in celebrating National Women in Construction Week! NAWIC’s mission is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry; the main purpose of this week is to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry. …

Weifield is proud to employ women cross-functionally and provide opportunities for them within our Executive Administration, Business Development & Marketing, Project Coordination & Management, Estimating, Industrial & Water/Waste Water, Special Projects, Human Resources, Accounting, BIM Modeling, and Service divisions.

“We’re proud of the women that are part of Weifield’s success and all the women that are helping to advance the industry,” says Karla Nugent, Weifield Chief Business Development Officer. “I appreciate them for what they do for our company and culture, and within our sector as a whole.”

According to 2014 U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data, there are 9,813,000 people working in the construction industry. Of these, 872,000 of them, or 8.9 percent, are women.
