Congratulations to our Large Construction division’s Lakewood Data Center project team for being named Weifield’s October, 2020 Crew of the Month!
This project, started last October, and involved renovation of a data center to upgrade reliability to N+1 redundancy for its MEP infrastructure; all work was executed without taking the facility offline. Weifield’s team finished up the cooling tower and CRAC unit upgrades; this project had a complete UPS backup system added and all switchgear updated during a seven-day, 24-hour-per-day shutdown — during which the building ran on two backup generators. Our crew also added a completely new LED lighting system and two data pod systems to the data center and two PDUs.
