On February 20th, Weifield Texas Manpower Resource Manager, Libby D. and Weifield Texas HR Generalist, Celina C. attended the Pflugerville ISD Career and Technical Education Connection event at the Courtyard Marriott Conference Center in Pflugerville, Texas!
This event was for all 8th-12th grade students across all campuses of Pflugerville Independent School District (PfISD).
High school students registered to attend and meet industry and postsecondary professionals from in-demand career fields like healthcare, skilled trades, business and finance, manufacturing and much more. There was information on preparing for success (employability skills, resume writing/interviewing) and a financial literacy presentation. 8th grade students browsed over 25 industries to learn more about potential careers and what types of education are needed.
