Kudos to our Industrial Boulder 63rd WTF Campus Electrical & High Service Pump Station (HSPS) team for being named Weifield’s January, 2024 Rocky Mountain Crew of the Month!

This project with Archer Western Construction (GC) in Boulder, Colorado consists of renovations to the electrical distribution system throughout the campus, the high service pump station, and the raw water strainer vault – as well as the replacement of HVAC systems, raw water pump station, and more.

The project is led by Angela S. (PM) and Chris W. (Field Supervisor) and the team members include: William B. (Journeyman), Steve B. (Field Supervisor), Dakota C. (Apprentice), Hunter F. (Apprentice), Tim G. (Journeyman), Kevin M. (Apprentice), Matthew S. (Apprentice) and Megan R. (Apprentice).

Said Angela: “Hands down this has been my favorite project of my career so far. The owner is smart and fair, the engineering team is some of the best we currently work with, and the crew is positive and hardworking. HDR (the engineering firm) said it best when they called this an ‘electrical project with some pipe.’ I could not be prouder of this team for what they have been able to accomplish!”

Said Chris: “This has got to be my favorite team overall I have ever had the pleasure of working with! Our team, the GC, the engineer (HDR), and the client (City of Boulder) seem to always be on the same page, and we are all willing to work together to mitigate risk and work through issues. One of the things I am most proud of is how much I have seen our people grow on this project. Tim G. and William B. were two apprentices that recently became journeymen here at Boulder 63rd; they have really taken on the challenge of becoming those leads we need and are excelling in doing so. We have had a handful of new hire apprentices come to this project as well — each one has come in and excelled under the tutelage of our more seasoned apprentices and journeymen. A huge shout out to Hunter F., a 3rd year apprentice that has taken on teaching our new guys the Weifield way and what our PACT means. Our team really is a family out here. They look out for one another, hold each other accountable and have really earned each other’s trust. There’s not an obstacle that Steve B. (Foreman) and the guys aren’t willing to take head on. I have worked on many successful projects in my career and there is not one I would put above this one! It is truly a gift and pleasure to be a part of this team.”

Congratulations to our outstanding Boulder 63rd WTF Campus Electrical & HSPS team for this well-deserved recognition!
