Kudos to our Rocky Mountain Large Construction team’s UW West Stadium Renovation crew for being named our June, 2025 Crew of the Month!
This $6.9M project with GE Johnson (GC) involves the construction of a new club structure and build-out, demolition and replacement of the lower stands, build-out of concessions and restroom spaces beneath the new stands, renovation of the press box, and demolition of the existing elevator and core—replaced with a larger core and two new elevators. Plaza upgrades are also included. The project runs from November 2023 through January 2026.
The project is led by James S. (Foreman), Kelly F. (Project Manager), and Jorge C. (Estimator). Team members include: Jason G. (Apprentice), Salvador G. (Apprentice), Jared G. (Journeyman), David P. (RTT), Ryan Q. (Apprentice), Victor R. (Foreman), Josh R. (Journeyman), Brandon S. (Apprentice), Cameron S (Apprentice), Micah T. (Apprentice), and Peter T. (Apprentice).
Said James: “War Memorial Stadium has been an awesome yet challenging project up to this point. The guys have done a great job rolling with the punches and continuing to do good work in very challenging circumstances. There are multiple complex systems being installed, light fixtures and controls in particular, and the guys are putting together a great finished product with those challenging systems. This is a landmark project in Wyoming that we will all be proud to put our names on at the end of the day. Go Pokes!!!”
Said Kelly: “In addition to everything James mentioned, another important factor to note is the added complexity of executing a phased project around an NCAA Football schedule. The time sensitivity and strict windows of opportunity create significant challenges. Planning and initiating work that won’t be completed for a year or more requires another level of coordination, focus, and attention to detail. There is little to no flexibility once a window is missed, there’s no going back. Big kudos to the team for pushing through and staying focused despite all these challenges. Special thanks to James for keeping morale high and the team engaged, ensuring everyone is bought in and delivering a high-quality product for a very important customer in Wyoming.”
Congratulations to our team for your outstanding performance leading to this Crew of the Month recognition!
