On July 31, 2024, Celina C., Weifield Texas HR Generalist and Matt G., Weifield Texas Project Executive visited SkillPoint Alliance for a mentor visit with a cohort of 16 students!
The students were very engaged and appreciated hearing from Weifield regarding the career opportunities within the electrical trade. Matt shared his experience beginning with when he started apprenticeship, completed his apprenticeship, moved to field leadership and then transitioned into operations all the way through to his current position as Project Executive.
This is always a very fulfilling community and workforce development opportunity for Weifield as we have hired multiple graduates of this program that have started school with IEC and are performing well. Investing time with these mentor visits is great for the next generation of electrical workers.
Looking forward to attending the graduation and onboarding a few more new team members from this program this year!
