ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) is pleased to announce that Weifield Group Contracting, located in Denver, Colorado, received an IEC National Award of Excellence in Electrical Construction in the Industrial category during IEC Con 2015 in Tampa, Florida.
Weifield Group Contracting was recognized for its work on the Rigden Storage Reservoir Project, a new raw storage facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. This project consisted of a storage reservoir, a main pipeline, and the pump station. Weifield Group Contracting also installed a complete 600-amp electrical system for two buildings as well as lighting, security, HVAC, lightning protection, fiber optics, and solar-powered mixers controlled via radio telemetry.
“I congratulate Weifield Group Contracting for its professional electrical installation,” said Thayer Long, IEC National Executive Vice President/CEO. “This was Weifield Group Contracting’s first reservoir, and they conducted the project with high quality from the ground up with only a few of crew members.”
The IEC National Award of Excellence in Electrical Construction is given each year during IEC Con to recognize remarkable electrical projects in the categories of Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Low Voltage/Limited Energy, Efficient Energy/Green Construction, and Service.
