On Friday, September 13th, Weifield sponsored a team that participated in a Ryan Companies charity event (kickball tournament) supporting Food for Thought at Infinity Park Turf Field in Glendale, Colorado!
Weifield members of Project Granite and Operations participated in the 3rd Annual Ryan Gives Back cup-in-hand kickball tournament supporting Food for Thought. Food for Thought was founded in 2012 with a mission of eliminating weekend hunger for schoolchildren in the Denver Metro, when school lunches were not available. Today the nonprofit and its volunteers service 75 schools across Denver, feeding thousands of children each week.
The event raised $42K, which will feed 8,400 kids! To boot, Weifield helped sponsor snacks and a full team. The “Recess Rejects” had a great showing, making it all the way into the semifinals against 14 other teams. Special thanks to QED for sponsoring the shirts!
Team Members: Left to Right, Top & Bottom – Michael S. (Rocky Mountain Project Manager), Michael D. (Rocky Mountain Foreman), Jesse R. (Rocky Mountain Foreman), Dustin F. (Rocky Mountain Foreman), Alex H. (Rocky Mountain Project Engineer), Jared M. (Rocky Mountain Project Engineer), Kyle A. (Rocky Mountain Project Manager), Ginny H. (Rocky Mountain Project Manager), James W. (Rocky Mountain Senior Safety Coordinator), Kaylinn C. (Rocky Mountain Front Desk & Preboarding Coordinator), Mike Z. (Rocky Mountain Project Manager), Stephannie C. (Rocky Mountain Project Engineer) and Michael W. (Rocky Mountain Project Engineer).
This was a great opportunity outside of work for Weifield members to build relationships with other subcontractors and the general contractor over food, fun, and drinks, while supporting a great cause!
