Weifield was honored to receive a second 2022 Independent Electrical Contractors, Inc. – IEC national award in the Industrial category [Over $7M] for our team’s work on our South Adams County Water & Sanitation District Pellet Softening Plant Project!
This project involved the construction of a prototype plant at the existing Klein Water Treatment Plant in Commerce City, Colorado, to help soften the water for the City’s residents via an innovative pellet softening process that would be implemented at the new plant. Although there are numerous pellet softening plants in Europe, there fewer in the U.S., currently—and most of them are smaller; this project was the largest pellet softening system implemented in the nation, using this technology.
