Weifield Texas set up a volunteer event for the office ladies to volunteer at The Charlie Center in Austin, Texas on Thursday, September 5th!
The Charlie Center has a really neat program where they feed the homeless with home cooked meals provided by volunteers, and are serving to the public on Tues, Wed, and Thurs. of every week from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Weifield was there to serve a meal to anyone who walked in the door, no matter their situation. Volunteering from Weifield were M’Lissa O. (Weifield TX Executive Assistant) and Libby D. (Weifield TX Manpower Resource Manager).
The Charlie Center also offered navigation to anyone that walks in the door. Navigation is helping them get an ID, SSC, medical care (whether it is mental, addiction, or due to an injury)), basically anything to help them get the requirements that would be needed to get a job and find permanent housing.
