On September 11th, members of Weifield’s Water Solutions group from the Boulder 63rd WTP project had the honor of working with Volunteers of America assisting a lady in need of the installation of a wheelchair ramp on her home in Loveland, Colorado!
Weifield volunteers worked with Keith Scholes from VOA along with a few other volunteers to build a new wheelchair ramp for a woman in need. It entailed a new 4-foot platform leading into the home and then a 26-foot ramp leading down to her driveway. There was a 10-foot section of ramp that was repurposed from another VOA ramp build, which sadly was from someone in need that had passed away. It was bittersweet that the repurposed section was able to help out another. It was amazing to see a group of people come together to help someone less fortunate and in need of assistance. It was wonderful and humbling to be a part of.
Weifield volunteers included: Max S. (RM Apprentice), William B. (RM Journeyman), Tim G. (RM Journeyman), Kevin M. (RM Apprentice), Devin V. (RM Apprentice), Chris W. (RM Superintendent), Hunter F. (RM Apprentice) and Erin K. (RM Project Engineer).
Weifield was grateful to participate with Volunteers of America on this ramp project and we look forward to continuing to support the needs of this fantastic organization!
