PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This four-story office building project includes 187,000 sq. ft. of office and administrative support space with a one-story new addition of approximimately 27,000 sq. ft. of studio support space for an ACC TV studio and production facility (partnering with KLRU), including site amenities and an exterior concert venue. The exising building is a shell skeleton only of a concrete foundation, structural steel columns, beams, joists and slabs on metal deck (there is no skin, roof, or interior components). All existing slabs on metal deck are to be removed and replaced as part of this scope of work. The project also includes site improvements to include landscaping, landscape plaza, covered walks, and surface parking. Austin Community College’s goal is to have the project designed and built to LEED Silver standards. The site will be a main stay for Austin City Limits and for communication student training.
