The National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Research Support Facility is a 220,000 sq. ft. office building with a 20,000 sq. ft. data center.  This office building is one of the most energy-efficient buildings in the world, performing at 33 kBtu/sq. ft./year.  This project was design-build with a 1.2 MW photovoltaic system and 13.2 kv infrastructure to support the RSF and future campus expansions.  Weifield Group carried all subsystems, including telecommunications, audio/visual, fire alarm, security, and intercom.  The systems are tied in with the campus communications and alarm systems.
