The Denver Institute for Faith & Work, an educational nonprofit based in Denver offering theological education on issues of work, calling and culture, is holding an annual dinner on January 13, 2017 — honoring Weifield’s founder and Chief Business Development Officer, Karla Nugent!

The dinner fundraiser will be held at Blender Products, a locally-owned HVAC manufacturer. Speakers include Michael Lindsay – president of Gordon College and author of Faith in the Halls of Power – and Denver Institute’s Jeff Haanen, who will deepen our understanding of how work makes the world.

Karla Nugent will be honored for the commitment that she and her company, Weifield Group Contracting, have made to corporate philanthropy. Under Karla’s leadership, Weifield created an apprenticeship program that helps at-risk individuals become certified electricians. In 2014, Karla was also honored as Denver Business Journal’s Corporate Citizen of the Year.
