Weifield was proud to recently support Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, CO, in the fight against breast cancer by donating the needed electrical services for the hospital’s newest state-of-the-art diagnostic tool — a Hologic 3D Mammography machine!

This new resource will allow Avista to offer a 40% more accurate and more comfortable mammogram to patients at the community hospital, while staying ahead of the deadly disease and keeping communities flourishing. Weifield made a 100% in-kind donation for the electrical services to support the new machine — including the necessary power and electrical connections to convert the room and prepare the space. Funding for the machine itself was made possible through the generosity of the community.

“What many people don’t realize is Avista provides millions of dollars in uncompensated care to nearly nine thousand people in need, annually – so when it comes to these big capital purchases, it’s critical that we get outside support,” says Avista Foundation Chief Development Officer Nicole Milo.

These pictures are from the ribbon-cutting unveiling of the new machine on September 10th — attending on Weifield’s behalf was our Chief Business Development Officer, Karla Nugent, who has also led the Avista Hospital Foundation Board for the past several years. We were honored to be a part of such an important project to improve the health of our communities!
