Weifield Group is excited to announce we have acquired a majority stake in privately-held IDI Electric, LLC, a renowned woman-owned and HUB-certified business enterprise with headquarters in Austin, Texas! The IDI Electric acquisition will allow Weifield Group (Weifield) to enhance the company’s future growth and performance in the Texas electrical construction market.
IDI Electric operated for four years under the leadership of Richard and Debbie White, who grew the business from a small start-up operation to an $8M business with over 50 employees; the company services a wide range of electrical construction projects and clients in the Austin, Texas market and surrounding areas. United by a common business culture, this new alliance between IDI Electric and Weifield – which will be completed over the next few months and will now operate under the business name, Weifield Group Contracting Texas – fortifies the existing client base while allowing Weifield to meet its strategic expansion goals.

Under this merger, Weifield Group Contracting Texas will continue to service the acquired existing clients’ projects with the same standard of excellence and care as IDI Electric has delivered since inception – pursuant to its contracts – with the additional support from the Weifield organization. Richard & Debbie White and their son, Garrett White, along with Weifield Group Contracting Texas President, Nate Anderson, are now part of the Weifield Group Contracting Texas ownership team; the company will utilize IDI Electric’s existing personnel and relationships in this market in order to grow as the company evolves.
