Congratulations to our Large Construction division’s CSU Moby  project team for being named Weifield’s June, 2020 Crew of the Month!

Moby Arena is an 8,745-seat basketball arena at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO; Colorado State University is making a huge step forward in sustainability and energy efficiency by implementing new geo-exchange technology to heat and cool Moby Arena.

For this design-build project, Weifield is helping to take the arena off the CSU Central Plant steam lines to heat and cool the arena using a geothermal solution. In geo-exchange heating, the heat from the earth is absorbed into water inside pipes, allowing the heating or cooling of a building without using electricity to generate the heat.

Weifield’s Crews of the Month are selected based on several evaluation factors, including meeting or exceeding schedule and budget, client satisfaction, team morale, productivity metrics, and more.

Led by Dan Lapoehn (Field Supervisor) and CJ Wheeler (Project Manager), CSU Moby team members include: Michael Hassert, David Huerta, Zachary Roley, Matthew Ruhl, Luke Verstraete, and Mark Wheeler.

Great job on your outstanding field performance, CSU Moby team!
