Weifield Group was excited to have our Sr. Preconstruction Manager, Jim Dent, present at the IEC National Convention & Expo 2021 in downtown Denver, last week!
Jim’s presentation covered the myriad International Energy Conservation Code changes that have occurred in recent years, and apply, today — as well how the energy landscape and building electrification requirements will change the way we execute construction in the future. From 2006 to 2021, the energy codes have increased its efficiency requirements by about 40%, an average of 8% per cycle — this rate will accelerate in future years.
