Today, Weifield was excited to learn that we were awarded a 2017 ENR Regional Best Projects Award for our Industrial division’s Westminster Pump Stations Improvements project, in the Water/Environment category! Weifield’s project won the competition for the Mountain States — across a seven-state region, which includes Utah, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota.

A panel of nine judges from all areas of the industry—architects, GCs, green consultants, virtual designers and engineers—selected winners and merit awards from the 105 total entries this year.

The City of Westminster Pump Stations Improvements project is one of many projects the City of Westminster initiated in recent years to provide a reliable water supply for their more than 100,000 customers; the owner’s main driver behind this project was to maintain a better pressurized water system for the city. Weifield’s work on this design-assist project encompassed improvements at four different pump station facilities (Jim Baker, Silo, North Park & Wandering View pump stations), as well as the associated electrical and instrumentation work.

We’re thrilled for this recognition for our work on this amazing project!
