As part of a design-build project, Weifield modified the plant’s incoming service with a new power pole and associated power lines to accommodate the installation of a new 3 MVA transformer, concrete encased duct bank, and modifications to an existing Medium Voltage Motor Control Center. The modified MCC reports statuses from its new protective relays back to the plant’s SCADA system over fiber. Additionally, Weifield installed provisions for future connection to an emergency backup generator and demolish legacy equipment.
