February 2020’s Employee of the Month round focused on identifying those employees within Weifield who have gone the extra mile with their installations – and pushed hard at crunch time to achieve them successfully. Any type of installation was eligible… but the winning employee would have to have achieved a successful installation at the finish, despite the obstacles.

Excited to announce our February, 2020 Employees of the Month – Andrew Scelzi and Ronnie Elliott!

Andrew and Ronnie were nominated by their Field Supervisor, Rand Schnell, who said the following: “I would like to nominate two individuals if possible as they were working on this task together — Andrew Scelzi and Ronnie Elliott. Andrew and Ronnie installed some 4” overhead GRC conduit at the Westminster Big Dry Creek Waste Water Treatment Facility that turned out very well.  For this portion of the installation, we had one week to install everything. We had a narrow window of opportunity after the painters had finished coating the equipment pads with FRP and before the plumbers, tin knockers, overhead door contractor, and the general contractor started working in this area. We had to coordinate with the HVAC contractor in order to avoid a 16” fiberglass foul air line that they were installing, as well.  After we finished the installation, two of the onsite engineers from HDR complimented us for the installation by stating that ‘we had no idea how you guys would be able to install the feeders in this area.’

This installation had a high level of difficulty as we were having to do some very difficult and non-traditional bends with 4” GRC.  I have received many compliments from City of Westminster, HDR engineering, and Archer Western on this particular installation.”

As the winning employees, Andrew and Ronnie are being awarded a $100 gift card and will be featured in Weifield’s newsletter, on the website and Weifield Weekly, and on Facebook.

Kudos for this well-deserved recognition, guys – thank you for all you do to make Weifield great!
